The Story Between
Throughout my life, I have always been interested in hearing people's stories.
Every couple has their own. The moments that made you laugh, the experiences you've shared, the challenges you've overcome and everything that has brought you to this point. Whether your love story is conventional or something a little different, those moments weave together to create a story that is completely unique to you.
I believe your ceremony should be too. Your ceremony will be built around your experiences, your feelings, your values and your hopes for the future- filled with the special, meaningful and funny moments that make your relationship yours. I believe in creating a welcoming space for every couple, whatever your culture, identity or background, where everyone feels respected and celebrated.
A ceremony that feels like you. Traditional, romantic, rustic, relaxed or something completely different- this is your day. Your ceremony can include the people, music, readings, promises and traditions that mean something to you both.

We'll arrange an initial call, or Zoom if you prefer, to talk about your date, venue and the atmosphere you would like to create. It's also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and make sure I am the right person to help make your day everything you want it to be.

Wherever possible, we'll then arrange to meet face to face. This is where I get to hear your love story- how you met, the experiences you've shared, the funny moments, the meaningful ones and everything in between.
We'll also talk about music that is special to you, poems, readings from friends or family and anything else you would like to include.

I can help guide you with your vows and promises, or you can write them yourselves and keep them as a surprise for your partner on the day. You may also want to include a ritual such as handfasting, an oathing stone, a sand ceremony or unity candle.
Or we can create something entirely personal to you. One couple I know met over cocktails, so they mixed a cocktail together while making their promises. This is your ceremony. It should feel like it.

After we have met, I will write your love story and ceremony and send it to you for your approval. If another memory suddenly comes to mind or there's something you'd like to change, that's absolutely fine. Changes can be made up to a week before the ceremony, ideally before the rehearsal.
The ceremony can also be adapted to suit the day- whether you want something longer and more detailed or shorter because young children or animals are involved.

Where possible, I will attend your rehearsal. On the day, I'll arrive early to make sure everything is prepared and ready for the ceremony.

Destination Weddings
Your story, wherever in the world you choose to tell it.
Having travelled extensively, I have seen just how beautiful a destination wedding can be.
It could be an intimate ceremony on a beach, with your toes in white sand and the blue sea behind you.
Or it could be a celebration surrounded by family and friends on a hilltop in Majorca, with the sound of goat bells in the distance, which I've actually experienced!
I love travelling and I'm a very experienced traveller, so the thought of delivering a ceremony somewhere new doesn't daunt me.
I'll work with you in exactly the same way as I would for a UK ceremony- getting to know you, hearing your history together and writing the beautiful story of everything from when you first met to all The Story Between.

A celebrant-led wedding ceremony is separate from the legal marriage process in the UK. I'll explain how this works when we speak so that you can take care of the legal formalities separately and then make your celebrant ceremony the personal celebration you really want it to be.
